Spyyk

Keep herptiles or something else which isn't a fish?

Postby Indigo Blue Fish » 2006-07-14 18:02

Lol - you asked for a video - Spyyk kindly obliged!
I went through, he sat on his hammock - I grab the camera - he grabs a mouthful of air - and chaos ensues!

<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxkTWre1oHw' target='_blank'>Spyyk dashing around...</a>

Sorry for the outburst of laughter - it was just so funny watching him bob around!

I freaked my Nan out the other day, and amused Spyyk immensly when I told them both I found another tank and Axie on eBay and I ordered it there and then.

Turns out Nan thinks he's very cute, and Spyyk thinks it's funny, as it's sat next to his tank.

Haven't decided what I want to call him yet - any ideas?

It's another hot and sweaty week for the poor amphibian...
I'll be building a rather posh cooler for him soon - with a little help from a soldering iron.

He's been showing off his new bed quite a bit - this is his favourite thing to do:
Image

He's had a good grumble too - telling me not to keep photoing and get on with buying the rest of the bits I need...
Image

Spot the difference:
Image

A lovely lazy week. One of those days where you just can't be bothered - perfect for putting your feet up.
Image

"Look look!" He's been redecorating - all the green together, the red together, the cubes pushed together - he's had fun moving that pingpong ball just right!
Image

One of those cheeky shrimps - the big one - decided it was time to play poke-the-hot-and-grumpy-'lotl.
So he chased it.
It backed into the glass - he snapped - missed - snapped again - in doing so he jumps - the shrimp shot out under him - he spun round to get it - forgot he had his head in the glass - and smacked it properly. Ouch. This one is entitled "Dissapointment and a Sore Head."
Image

Is the shrimp still in there? Wishful thinking on his part.
Image

BTW - I had NOTHING to do with that last shot - I just photo'd it. And laughed.

ROFL SD! Look carefully.

I'll give you a hint. The tank is about the same size as a 50 pence peice...

Rofl - he LOVES his bed - thanks Crypt!

SD - pretty much. It's a resin and fimo model for dollshouses.

*Both she and Spyyk have a good giggle*

Looks fabulous - but it's two Y's...
You can say it Spike, or Spy-yik, it's up to you - but it's spelt Spyyk. :P

Happy to help - and thanks for the source link.

I intend to take some more pics when his tank cools a bit - he's getting a little stressy in the heat, and has mottles on his tail
Nobody'll probably notice in the pics, but he doesn't want to play much.

It's raining heavily, and the snailtank has come down in temp, so I expect with the project I'm working on it'll cool down further.

BTW Crypt - you're very welcome to Hoik the video at the top of this page - the embed code is in the clicky link when you open it, so you can have the screen directly in your webpage if that's any use to you.

If you can't find it, let me know, and I'll email it to you.

ROFL! Well, I'm for hire! :P
What sort of thing is it you're doing, maybe I can help out a bit?

Spyyk is nodding happily in his little cave.
The Hammock is useful for that - it creates a nice shadow at the right end for him.

He shook it loose and ate it.
