Axolotl....

Keep herptiles or something else which isn't a fish?

Haha - no, it hasn't arrived yet - am eagerly awaiting! ^_^
It's going to be tough talking my Nan round - but Dark has fallen in love with the little guy.
When we went to see him at Sixhills, Spyyk looked coyly at him from behind a rock - he really knows how to make sure he's loved! Gary likes him too!
So Dark says he'll buy him for me when the guy stops messing me round with the tank... I could have it ready to roll by now. *sighs*

Ah well - Spyyk is doing very well - he's gorgeous - deep black eyes peeping round...

WaHOOOO!
I'm off to collect the tank myself tomorrow night - he finally said I could when I rang him.
Sixhills are ordering the Ghosties for me, so they'll arrive in time for the tank to finish cycling.
Substrate should arrive in a couple of days, when that gets here, I'll put my cruddy filter in to start it off with mouldering prawn (which I'll start prepping tomorrow).
Then get a new filter, then run them side by side for a few days whilst the bacteria acclimatise - and BINGO!
Everything else can go in then!

*mega grins*

Things WILL fall into place - I've put too much time in for it to crumble - let's just hope the tank's sound...

*heavy sigh* The guy let me down.

Looks like I have to find yet MORE funds... Mind you, I'll sweet talk Sixhills tomorrow, see what they can do for me...

I'm also *pretty pleasing* an eBayer I stumbled on - I may be able to get a PF2 for about ?10 - MAY. But still - ?20 saving!

My *PPs'd* Substrate arrives on Friday.

Maybe I can talk Sixies Gary into letting me get a tank, plants, Ghosties AND axie for cheap. Hmm. *ponders*

All is NOT lost!

Although I am running out of Elodea.... *augh*
Snails...

It sucks.
We have to wait longer for an axo-thingy.
But the shrimp things sound fun.
And the Koi is mashing the moss balls.
*woot* Shopping for a fish tank.

Aww - he's a soft touch, especially when annoyed because I'm upset with someone else...
And Spyyk is cute - he peeped at him sweetly. Dark peeped back too.
Lovely fella that one!

I did - but I suppose it's not her fault that the guy's a ... an... umm. *insert nasty word of choice here*

I guess I'll have to carry the tank too.

lol - he didn't "peep coyly" - he peeped creepily. Yup - that's about right.

I suppose it's cool in it's own way.

Well, we went shopping - and Gary and Alan have agreed to let me have a 24" x 12" X 12" FOR ?20.97 - They said I can have Spyyk for ?12.99 instead of ?20, and STILL do discount on the ghosties - - - how awesome.

They say they'll look after Spyyk until I can take him home - obv I'll have to cycle the tank first.

I do adore Sixhills - they're magic!
:)

The tank is on order for Weds.

I also found a place to get all my piping, extension cable, timer switch AND a light (20W - only for elodea and Java plants) for half price... Doing good! :woot:

Sad news. Ziggy passed away a couple of days ago.
We believe the culprit was a combination of the nasty incident a few weeks back, a possible illness picked up from live bloodworm, (I know, I know - I didn't know that's what he was being fed this week...) and the fact that he was never particularly strong.

However, I do know he lives on in his partner Molly, and her two other friends. Axolotlitis has hit their house...!

G'bye Zigs - y'know we all loved you.
And you bit me back. ^_^
