You keep chickens? I LOVE chickens! They are so cute - and the way they growl when they are mad is really funny! My mate Phil has some in his garden in a custom made run - he gets at least an egg a day in this weather - 6 a day in summer!

Hey Quirls, have you seen that show, the Rivercottage something-or-other? He has "chickenopolis", it's a muti story custom made hen house, and it is soooooo cool!

I like chickens too, despite a bad run in with a Bantam rooster who was a touch cross at having his potential childrem removed..... me and that rooster never did see eye to eye! He would stalk me at egg time..... :ph43r:

Bantams are scary anyway - they used to use them as fighting birds. I just like chickens. They are pretty. And make funny little noises. My Mum said if she ever got any (she wants a goose too) then she'd call them all after various biscuits - brandy snap, bourbon, ginger, chocolate, digestive etc.

I wouldn't mind keeping a few chickens...or a turkey! Ducks would also be good, I really love a soft boiled duck egg..... :drl:

I would love to keep a pygmy goat as well... but I could see no practical reason for that.... :P

Thats cos' there isn't one. We have 9 up at my dad's. Cheeky little gits, they'll go for any plant they can. One of them has 3 legs, as he broke his forth one and it had to be amputated. He's the favourite obviously.
We also have two fat donkeys, loads of chickens (we thought we'd bought 14 hens, but one was a cockeral) 2 geese, loads of ducks (we started off with two, then a mallard flew in, now its about 42.), and about 100 sheep.
Oh, and a fox terrier called Bob.

you have a horse? you lucky guy :P ... wait... it isn't a pony is it? soz, but as far as i'm concerned, ponies are vicious lil buggers with an inferiority complex. stay away from them at all costs... but horses are great!

& Sam: does your dad have a farm by any chance???
