MANCHESTER UNITED star David De Gea is close to committing his long-term future to the club. The Spain international sbo128 has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent months. United triggered a one-year extension in De Gea’s contract to keep him at the club until 2020. The Red Devils are desperate to fend off Juventus and PSG, who are chasing the 28-year-old goalkeeper. They say the United No 1 is unconvinced about joining Juventus or PSG next summer. ESPN add that De Gea wanted to sign sbo128 a new deal United before Jose Mourinho was sacked on Tuesday morning. The United board were well aware of the Spaniard’s willingness to stay at Old Trafford. De Gea is demanding around £350,000-a-week to remain at United. ESPN reckon the only chance of De Gea leaving United is if Real Madrid or Barcelona dip into the transfer market for sbo128 a new goalkeeper. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Mourinho at Old Trafford this week, with the United hero to take charge against Cardiff on Saturday evening. And Solskjaer has opened up on De Gea, claiming he’s the best goalkeeper in the world.
"I've spoken to David and Emilio of course, and David, he loves Emilio," Solskjaer said.
"He really, really is so complimentary about him.
"We have the best goalkeeper in the world. He's been player of the year so many years now, he's been here for eight years, he is still a young keeper developing.
"That's fantastic for me to come in.
"Maybe I'll have to do some finishing training with him just to peg him down a little bit!"
