got an alcohol based one in my tank and its great. Will prob get another to test the water I am putting in my tank when I replace the water again :)

I got a dinky one of those in my Newtery that I swipe - it's been spot on.
I was tempted to get a dual probe electronic one with built in hygrometer, but then I found a nice H'meter at a more reasonable price - so I didn't lol!

Will protozin work perfectly for Clown Loaches as I am bit susceptible when it comes to meds and clown laoches?

I think that you should not use more then half the recommended dose if you have any loaches or scaleless catfish in the tank.

Seconds that. If it's not the clowns that have it, put them in a spare tank while you treat the rest :) If they have got it, then putting them in a tank on their own means you can treat them at half dose, and the rest at full :D
