tested Ph today and it's 6.5!!!! a few weeks ago i posted a topic on Ph rocketing, now, the same tank, from having a PH higher than a marine tank, has dropped to 6.5!!!! :o :o i just don't get it?? i did a small water change the other day, so it must be the tapwater, but how do i raise it slowly, and also, once it's up wot if it continues to go up and up? this is rather worrying!

The biggest piece of advice I can give is do NOT use a buffer.

add shells as part of the substare, or pit them in a stocking and add that to the filter...

Watch the shells though, as they can madly increase calcium levels.
