OK - You're going to be squished with some of my favourite Photo's!
1st - how often do you see a fishes tounge? Here's Rex looking either shocked or sleepy.
(Feel free to add captions to my photo's - all the more fun!)

I'm pretty certain. There's supposed to be a way of telling from the anus (not nice - but quite accurate). Oval rather than circle. Not that I stare at my fishes behinds...
But hey - you asked. See for yourself!
(It's still a nice photo lol)

And this little beautie was Edwina. I haven't got pics of Ella yet - but I imaging I will do soon. She's very shy.
(Heehehe Kat - you have a natural talent for captions. Dya recon that should be one months contest? Select a members Photo at random)Image

Hehe - that's exactly what I'm expecting. I haven't kept Khulis before - but they're similar enough to Dojo's - so not a lot will surprise me lol. Mind you - Erwin the Dojo tried to eat me again yesterday - weird fish. And he was chasing Rex this morning. Thank goodness they have long mouths, at least he can't be a fin nipper.

Do they actually borrow down into the substrate, or is that just a myth?

Yeah Kuhlies and Dojos do Burrow, they love it lol Just make sure all decor is firmly on the bottom of the tank otherwise they might under-mine it
