Ooh dear. I might be able to ring him if his number was on the parcel. *will look tomorrow* I mean, I can do remote bids for customers, so why not for members.
Unless anyone knows another way of contacting him (bearing in mind there are only 2postal days left) - then I can send him the Quirlys phone num.

Hehe - Bingo. I check each stone's chemical makeup before even considering it. It's useful learning the periodic table - That's why you can't use Iron Pyrite in a tank - no matter how pretty it looks, it's full of sulphur!

Mind you, I saw a horrible thing in a crystal book the other day - two goldfish in a bowl, no substrate, plants or pump(s) - just a lump of orange Calcite.
I don't think the person who thought it would be a good idea did their homework. Nevermind muck complications (being goldfish - they are grubby), the Calcite would send the hardness rocketing... I hope they were more suitably homed.

Good points made by both, I do believe in the healing powers of crystals but have never thought about it for my fish. My good rocks and gems are on display throughtout my home, I want to be able to touch and play with them (sorry fishes) but i may consider some for my fish friends too. Any good in putting tigerseye in a tank? Ive got a great raw piece that cost me 7 stiches in my eyebrow to get.

Mick! Congrats! New Pc?

Surf - how on earth did you manage to do THAT? Yes - Tiger's is fine in the tank. Give it a good wash in hot water to wash off any dust and loose outer bits. Don't want base clay floating round in there lol!
Also, if you look near the bottom in General Tropical Freshwater, you can find the actual properties of tiger's eye for your fish.

Congratulations Surface - You won the bid!
Your prize will be sent out on Wednesday, if you could kindly PM me your address.
(Actually, I think I may still have it - *meh*)
I reccommend a Postal Cheque - on recieving your address, I'll send you the store address.
As proof of sending to charity - which one d'ya fancy by the way? - I'll get them to make a reciept and post a copy of it here!
