sbobet asian Liverpool have officially announced their agreement with AS Monaco for the transfer of Fabinho. The Reds have also agreed personal terms with the Brazilian, who will formally join his new teammates at Anfield in July 1. Fabinho has been on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City.

Fabinho was one of the cornerstones of AS Monaco’s success in the 2016-17 season that saw them dethrone PSG and win Ligue 1 while reaching credible heights in the Champions League as well. But, the 2017-18 campaign has been somewhat normal for the French giants, with a host of changes to the squad.

While his teammates chose to move in the summer of 2017, Fabinho stuck to AS Monaco despite widespread interest in his services. The Brazilian has till now been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona, with the clubs looking to reinforce their midfield and the right side of their defence.

Manchester United were thought to be favourites to land the player. But, Liverpool seems to have done the deed quickly, snapping Fabinho up from AS Monaco. While a fee has not been mentioned in the official announcement, The Telegraph reports a €50 million fee, which would be fair by the current standards of the transfer market, considering Fabinho’s age – 24. sbobet asian

Fabinhho told Liverpoolfc.com,“ I am really excited about this move. This is something that I always wanted – this is a giant of a team. The infrastructures of the club look exceptional. A football club of this size coming after my services, I didn’t have to think that much about coming over.” “I will try to create my own history at this football club. Hopefully, on a personal level, I’m able to win titles with this club. I will try to grow and learn and improve myself, and to be part of the club’s history.”

Fabinho becomes Liverpool’s first summer signing along with Naby Keita, who is due to arrive at the club, but the deal had been in place since last summer. It will be interesting to see how the Brazilian will slot into Jurgen Klopp’s plans. Liverpool fans, on the other hand, will be excited at beating rivals Manchester United to the Brazilian’s signature. sbobet asian
