Very nice fixture. Are you using this for a planted? In the US 48" fixtures are standard for household use. They are very inexpensive because of this. A double tube fixture, bare bones type (commonly called a "shop light" ) goes for about $4-$8 US. A double pack of bulbs, 6500K (perfect for plants) is about $5 US. The bulbs can be T-12 40W or T-8 32W. I usually modify them with a shiny metalic foil tape on the reflector sheilds and mount them to the underside of a canopy. I will be making one for the 55G, perhaps I'll post a pic in this forum. Maybe I'll check into shipping costs to the UK, and maybe start an export business LOL.

Thats what I'll be doing when I buy my halide lighting, just buy an industrial style unit, and use aquariam bulbs in it. It just about halves the price.
