<span style='color:blue'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Propagation of Caulastrea</span></span>
This is just a general method of propagating the Caulatrea, other methods are available but this is the more common:
?Bone Cutters (not really 100% necessary)
?Marine Epoxy Putty
?Small pieces of Live Rock/ Base rock (optional)
?Plastic tray
?Dremel with Cut-off disc
Caulastrea, also know as Candy Cane, is a very easy coral to frag. The method of fragmenting this coral is as follows:
1. Simply remove the coral from your Reef Aquarium, place it on the Plastic tray ready to be fragged, do not allow it to become dry.
2. This step is to actually make the cut on the calcareous skeleton is quite easy to cut through. You can either break it off with your hand, use the Bone cutters or use the Dremel with the Cut-off disc. Cut the head off as far below the Fleshy part as possible.
3. You now have the frag. You can Epoxy it to any piece of rockwork or just sit it in your tank somewhere.
Pictures will be added when I do this myself
