I remembered this link just this afternoon. It is quite useful for anyone cycling a tank with fish. Because pH and water temperature have a roll in ammonia toxicity this is useful. If ammonia is present the lower the water temperature and pH make the ammonia less toxic to fish. Here Tis' ====> , The amount given isn't really important ( to understand that is)it just shows that during the first stage of the cycle when ammonia spikes, if you keep temps on the lower side, even though not ideal for certain fish at the time, the ammonia is less deadly. Hear is a useful tool for us that use fahrenheit instead of celcius ====> , To compliment this, an article for blocking Nitrites when "stage 2" of the cycle comes, or Nitrite spikes. Hope this is useful.
